What I find funny is that when Bush won in 00, there was an immediate call for partisan cooperation. The Dems demanded that there be nominations that meet the needs of both parties and reach across the aisle. There have been no such calls now they are in charge. In fact, Rahm "F*ck Republicans" Emanuel is an extremist pick.. He is great at what he does, but this won't be a guy reaching across the aisle anytime soon unless he's planning on giving someone a wedgie. I think, somewhat sadly, we have seen an end to the bipartisan myth in this election. The Democrats cried for Bush to reach out to the left, only to bite his hand each time he did. They pushed further left, and they just trashed perhaps the most bipartisan guy in Washington in this past Presidential election.. Look for the Republicans to rebuild and come back stronger, and much further, to the right.. A strong case can be made, looking at the polls, that it was their lack of such a right-leaning approach that cost them this election.
Bush teed this one up for Obama with his big government and excess spending that flew in the face of conservatism. Hell, 20% of conservatives voted for Obama!
 ok I have to lighten things up a little ,, after all the election results were in and final Mr Joco thought he would ansr any questions his students had regarding the election and how things were going to change one little girl wanted to know what Obama was going to do with all the roses in the rose garden since she heard that the were going to plant watermellons there .can you imagine Jim with a straight face ansring this question ... we were all rolling on the floor here laughing as he explained he was sure that the rose garden would stay intact and maybe they would grow watermellons on another party of the white house
That's sad. As far as we've come as a society, the above question by a young person illustrates how far we have yet to go.
Spitting seeds is half the fun of eating watermelon, especially if you can get the machine gun effect going.
Ahhhh. My failing memory. I do recall doing that as a youngster, and it was fun. I guess I just forgot after all these years of seedless. Ha. Having had this conversation, I probably will make a point of looking for seeded watermelon next time we have it.
Obama: "We Need A Change....!" That was only half a statement. The other half was ".....Back to what we had with Clinton!" Great! Smaller military and more bad ideas like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!
