Kentucky is not the pushover in the SEC they were a few years ago. They only lost to Alabama by less than a touchdown.

Gators need to not be looking ahead to Georgia and take care of business.

Didn't I read that Kentucky lost several players for the season in their last game?

Also what's the situation with Emmanuel Moody? If you remember he commited to Texas, switched to USC, then switched to UF. He had a lot of talent in high school. Is he going to see the field at UF?

Terry, Moody has had a problem staying healthy. He got a high ankle sprain against Ole Miss and hasn't played since.

He's a great runner when healthy but he's been dinged all season.

Gators look forward to him being healthy.

Moody has had injuries on & off - currently out with a high-ankle sprain and is questionable for Kentucky. When he's in, he has made a difference as a power runner. When he's out, we're back to Tebow for the power and the speedy-trio in space. Although recently the speedy guys have been getting better about getting those tough 2-3 yard first downs when needed. It will be nice to have Moody back as an option again.

Wish we had Moody back to complement the inside running game but without him Demps and Rainey have emerged.

Kentucky isn't very deep, their offense isn't very good but they do play good defense. I am not sure how the injury bug has taken its toll on the team.

Gators have beaten Kentucky 21 straight years, I'm sure some of them have been closer than you wanted them to be, but still 21 straight years. Unlike Ole Miss they don't seem to have your number. :) Barring unforseen circumstances that 21 could get much higher, they might not beat you in the next 10 years either.

Early game .... don't like early games. My fear is UF come out flat, again, and is just out played by a decent, but hurting, UK team. What's the spread ... 22? I don't see it happeneng. IMHO, marging of victory will be 7-10 points, either way.

Sunrise here in the mountains is beautiful this morning.

Kentucky currently holds the two longest losing streaks to teams they play every year. Tennessee at 23 and Florida at 21. The longest one until last year was Navy and Notre Dame which ended.

May the Kentucky one with Florida approach that record! :)

Kentucky does play good defense and held a very good Alabama team to a field goal difference.

I'm always a bit nervous but think the Gators win.

    42-3 halftime....vs. the SEC's scoring defense leader....after hanging up 51 on LSU...

Jeff Demps is a beast of a football player.....a very fast beast!

Note to Charlie Weis. That's how you win in college football.

Kentucky is awful. I understand that their membership in the SEC gets them cool points with people here, but that's a bad football team. The Bama fans were justified in their sickness over the performance against that club.

They came in 5-2, but their wins were over:

Louisville, Norfolk State, Middle Tennessee (a game they damn well should have lost), Western Kentucky and Arkansas...

Great job by the Gators. I'm not taking anything away from them. They put it to a team that had played good defense and special teams until today... but that team had been relying on smoke and mirrors to stay close and get to 5-2. Today, Florida turned a swamp fan on that smoke and blew them out.

It doesn't really make any difference wheter or not Kentucky was/is a good defense or a good football team. When a team like UF dominates you in every aspect of the game, throwing, running, defense, special teams. That means UF is a very good football team.

Congrats to the Gators. Now they're playing like I expected them to. Should be a dandy at the Cocktail Party. I hate both teams but for some reason, I hope the Gators take it to the Dawgs.

    Terry,

I agree to an extent. The Gators are the real deal, but there are very few teams in this conference who are. They scheduled themselves into respectable records, but are now being beaten by the good teams on their schedule.

It looks like it will come down to Georgia/Florida vs Alabama.
