Every team that makes Florida look average just makes Tennessee look as bad as it is.

so far, in the 1st Qtr, Florida looks like they were not expecting much of a challenge from the Rebs. Ole Miss had other ideas. They look like the fired up team that Tennessee should have been.

I'm sure that Florida will wake up and put the game away but so far, no dice. Will they score before the 1st qtr is over? Right now, Ole Miss leads by 7.

I can't tell you how many times that Ole Miss has done this to the Gators.

But make no mistake the most deserving team won today.

Congratulations to Ole Miss and I gues the Gators have to try and pull it together and hope to get to the SEC Championship.

    I'm in shock.

Look on the bright side, Gators fans. At least your QB is capable of executing a simple handoff inside the 5 yard line. That's more than I can say for the Vols.

Hey Aquila, the Gators fumbled twice on our first three possessions of the 2nd half, one of them was Tim Tebow not executing at about our 20. Those two fumbles ended up tying the game at 17.

My condolences Gators. At least you have hope for the future. Our program has a little farther to go before we hit rock bottom and begin to climb back up.

Wow, Bill, that hurts. Trust me, I know.

That said, I didn't see this one coming. Ole Miss has played the Gators tough over the years. I would have thought the Gators could have shown up and out-athleted the Rebels. I guess the Gators thought the same thing, perhaps....

    So true Corey.

This is Ole Miss's 3rd straight win at Florida field and they have won 3 of their last 4 against the Gators.

I sure didn't expect this one today though.

I'm sure the Gators will bounce back Bill. Good luck the rest of the way.

    Gaters,

My sincere condolences. I take no pleasure in others' pain. Believe me that how ever bad you feel today, I feel worse. You have hope that this may be your only loss. I am thinking that we may have seen our only win.

Thanks Tom....very gracious of you and I am sorry about your loss as well and hope you get it turned around in Knoxville.....gotta keep the rivalry going.

The Gators can't seem to take Ole Miss seriously no matter who the Florida coach is.

I have a feeling the defense has been reading up on themselves this past week and they consequently went backwards by quite a few steps.

The Gator message boards are full of doom and gloom and seem to be blaming the offensive playcalling the most.

I missed the game entirely as I am in California and had to work yesterday.

Anyway....it's pretty negative in the Gator nation it seems and if some of that is true I wonder if the UF offense can get untracked enough to win the crucial games coming up with LSU and Georgia.

    Your Gator pals

need to calm down and STFU. I've been trying to talk to you guys for 24hrs now and I can't get a damned thing to submit :D

That said, there's nothing that took place Saturday that a W won't cure.

Corey, I am not sure a W will cure some of our fans. Some of them are absolutely unbelievable.

Many of them have been complaining this whole season. Winning was not enough, our offense wasn't clicking on all cylinders so it's bitch, bitch, bitch.

Some of them will never be happy.

Actually sometimes it's good for me. I can get my perspective back on track as to what this stuff really means, more accurately doesn't mean, in the big scheme of life.

It also helps me realize that despite some of the differences we have here the maturity level here is way and above that group that keeps bitching, bitching bitching.

Trust me Bill, I know what you mean.

Just last week at this time I posted something taking to task the other ND fans on other boards. I believed Sid agreed with me that they were nancy boys. You just can't please everyone.

The one thing posting on sports forums like this has taught me, is that there is always a certain group of fans that will never be pleased... ever.

What I find funny, in re the ND fans is that.... if the thesis that Ty Willingham is a program destroyer who is not only a bad football coach, but a non-existent recruiter who spends his time on the links is true.. (and by the way, I fully am in this camp) then it is unrealistic to believe that any program can have 4 years of sustained success in his wake... You simply can't have it both ways. This isn't the NFL where you go pick up free-agent talent that hits the ground running.. especially in ND's case in which they can't take JUCOs to find a stop gap to keep you competitive at a spot for at least a season till the talent matures.

Keep your chin up. Brighter days ahead.

Tough loss for you Gators no doubt and it does seem that Ole Miss is a little bit of a thorn in your side. But I wouldn't be suprised at all if you guys don't lose another game this year. You have too much talent, it's just that losses like USC had at Oregon State and that you guys had to Ole Miss prove that no matter how superior your talent is, you still have to go out and play the game, you can't just expect the wins to happen.

This really makes that UF/UGA game huge now. Before you expected both teams to be undefeated and the loser still with a chance to go to a BCS bowl as an at large team. Still could happen of course, but just less likely.
