    Irish fans will remember him as the guy who beat OU and ended their 46 game winning streak back in the late 50's. Interestingly the last team to beat OU was Notre Dame before they started their famous streak and Notre Dame ended the streak.

    I knew he played for the Giants as well, I think Tom Landry was his defensive coach maybe even played with him awhile. I didn't know he was the voice of the Football Giants for 50 years.

    RIP to one of Notre Dame's Greats.

    Landry did play with Lynch. As did Rosey Greir, Rosey Brown, Gifford, Sam Huff, YA Tittle among others. I loved that era of pro football ( before the Pats came into existance of course!)
