    Tom, Cindy, Aquila et all,

Are your boys going to show up and more important (to my fantasy team) is Arian Foster finally going to have a big game? This seems like the time to do it. Tough run defense, no one is expecting it etc..

Bet the house on Auburn and throw all Tennessee players off your Fantasy team with the possible exception of the Tennessee Defense. Their numbers would be much better if the Offense learns how to keep them off the field a little longer.

I'm predicting this is going to be a close game.

    Not 3 - 2 tough though. :)

Auburn is coming off a devastating loss. I think that might have taken more out of them than the loss to Florida took out of Tennessee. That's because it was so intense the whole game.

Auburn might have drained the emotioinal tank vs LSU and be a little slow out of the gate. Vols might be ready to take out frustrations on somebody...maybe Vols pull the upset.

I subscribe to the "emotionally drained" theory here so I predict Tenn to stay with Auburn through three quarters and then Aub comes to life a little in the 4th qtr and the Tenn O makes a critical mistake....

Bet the house on Auburn! Bet on Fulmer retiring at the end of the year (if he makes it that long). Crompton is starting against Auburn. Tennessee could go 0-8 in the SEC if Phil continues to back Crompton. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm not sure how I see this one going. Tom is dead on I'm afraid about Crompton. He has shown nothing to indicate that he can be an SEC QB. He has a decent arm but each time he throws all bets are off as to where it's heading. If Tennessee can ride their running game, they may have a shot but I don't think Auburn's D will be very accommodating. That said, I think Tennessee might beat the spread but Auburn prevails in a low scoring game.

I agree with several points made--a low scoring game, Tenn needs to establish the run, and it may well be tough for Auburn to come back with the same intensity after the LSU game. I can see this one decided in the last seconds.

So would you say that it is possible that Foster drops 100yards and a TD on them?

... more like 80 yards and a fumble at the 2 yard line.

This is what bothers me about our coaching staff:

    1) I am not seeing adjustments from first half to second
    2) I am not seeing underclassmen given an opportunity to show what they can do when the juniors and seniors are screwing the pooch.

As much as I don't care for Steve Spurrier, I admire his ability to get the best out of a player or tell that player to take a hike. When will the Tennessee staff get a clue.

I saw LSU wear down the Auburn defense this weekend. Auburn just couldn't stop LSU in the 4th quarter.

So I don't know about this Auburn winning late.

I think Tennessee has a great chance in this game.

... then you pick them in the contest Bill. They have burned me twice and that will not happen again. If me losing points helps Tennessee to win, I'm all for it. But this old boy will not lose points on a Tennessee loss again.

You're a good man Tom and brighter days are ahead. The questions that you have about your staff is the exact reason why I have faith in ours. Not having an MCG moment dancing on anyone while they are down, I sincerely mean this. I would also add a 3rd.

    3. Putting skill players in a position to succeed.

You guys really seemed to do that wheh Coach Cut was a part of the equation, but when you were without him that element went away.

BTW-you talked me into it. I dumped Foster and picked up that truck on feet that plays for LSU.

... and you won't see me jumping to pick him up either.

I wasn't this down on Tennessee in 2005. I am so disappointed in the lack of effort and motivation on this team. It is the total 180 degree opposite of the 1998 team. There were no BIG names on that team... just highly motivated good players. What I wouldn't give for just two or three of those types on this team. Those players with infectious desire to win. I'll just have to pack it in and wait for years to come.

There is good news though. I have asked the good Lord to allow me to see one more championship before I leave this earth. He said that he would try to get me to the age of 93 but no guarantees. :? So now you have it. Tennessee will win the National Championship in 2051... 5 years after Fulmer dies while choking on a krispy kreeme on the sidelines of the Alabama game in his 79th year coaching Tennessee at the age of 101. The last win Tennessee had before Fulmer's death was against Florida in 2010. That win came because Florida was just totally uninterested in wasting their time and did not show up.

Cindy... get me another Crown and Coke!!!!!!

Seeing as how just about every controversial prognostication and analysis I made in the off season has come to be true in spades and I have had almost nothing at all to say about it I don't feel your remark above is warranted.

MCG, that statement is sooooooooooooooo warranted. The fact that you don't think so even proves the validity of the statement.

The statement refers to the fact that without regard for the intended recipients, you spew forth, with no end, the information that hurts others whether that is your intent or not. The fact that your prognostication came true or not has nothing to do with the perceived malice with which you threw it in peoples face.

It will take a long time of you backing off of these tendencies for people to forget.

By all means, post your opinions here but 5 or 10 times is enough for everyone to know what your opinion is. 50 to 100 times provokes an angered response and throw back responses such as Corey's.

Yes, for the above reasons, it was so warranted.

So basically Tom you are saying I have to pay for past "sins" more than anything I have said lately.

I think I have been very reserved about recent events in CFB.

Again....those past "sins" to me have been in response to provocations many times but on the other hand I have stated opinions that have been debated heatedly by others with different opinions.

I continue to believe we can have differing opinions on this forum without all the time just nodding our collective bobble heads in plain vanilla agreement.

Ha! Not only is it warranted, it's a fact, Jack.

    Very well said, Tom.

Sid....I just tell it like it is.

Some don't want the truth and prefer their "whatever colored" glasses outlook on things.
