Based on what I'd like to know? They have played 2 1AA teams and a closer than it should be game with Nevada, blew out SMU, but scored fewer points on them than did the Rice Owls.

    Top 5 is

    1. USC
    2. OU
    3. UGA
    4. UF
    5. LSU.

Yeah....the SEC will beat up on it's own and unless other conference's contenders beat on each other the SEC will have blemishes on the record and will take a back seat.

Hard to see any SEC teams going unbeaten but I think UF has a shot if they can get by LSU.

Even if Fla beats LSU and Ga there is always Vandy at Vandy to spoil the run and don't laugh....they could be real tough at home this year.

I don't think I've ever seen a conference with so many goods QB's as the big twelve. Even the kid Griffin from Baylor looks like he's going to be pretty good.

    MCG,

What exactly does your post have to do with this topic????
    (I'm asking seriously)

    Back on track:

I'm not buying into all the hype that Tech suddenly has a real defense. We won't know until they start facing some legit B12 offenses.
Until then, they will continue to rise.
My take is they still can't get by OU or Texas.

    Silly Scott,

We all know that all roads in college football run thru the SEC.
