Let it not be said that Charlie can't play with pain. Torn ACL and MCL. I can't believe he was able to hang in there for he looked really in pain during the second half. I would have been in a hospital bed munching on Vicodin. I think this was a game were the fans of both teams came away with something to be happy about. ND, obviously, for a convincing win against a bitter foe. For Michigan fans, this was the first game where we had the opportunity to see just how good RR's spread can be when things are clicking. But, there is no way you are going to go into SB and beat a good ND team if you give away the ball six times. Good luck against the Spartans.
P.S. Terry, I am sorry Ike ruined your chance to watch the game but I am glad to read you came out of the storm safe and sound.
Thanks Bobda, You are a class act! You almost make hating Michigan difficult. Almost. You will get better as the year goes on.
What a day! I've been to games in the rain before but the second half was someting else. To give you some idea of the rain in SB today, the record rainfall for one day was 4+ inches. Today we had 6+ inches. I've got to give it to the crowd at ND stadium. They stayed until the end and then some. Every time it rained, they yelled louder. All the criticism I've read in some places about our crowd noise is unfounded. All the fans need is some plays to cheer about.
Mike <t>Terry lost the internet so I tried to explain to him last night via text and on the phone exactly how bad the rain was... I don't think I did Mother Nature any justice.<br/> <br/> I have seen a few articles written yesterday ripping Clausen and the ND offense for not producing more in that 2nd half... Given the circumstances, I am really not sure what more could have been done. That is as bad as I've seen it on TV for an ND game.</t>
You guys have some crazy fans!! I was flipping back and forth between games, but it sure looked like you guys were able to do something that will be very important: You ran the ball when you needed to. Those were horrible conditions, so expecting big offense is silly.
Great game for the Irish and poor game for the Maize and Blue. Congrats on the win but sorry you lost your starting coach.....
