Astros open the season at Minute Maid vs the Florida Marlins and Dontrelle Willis.

Astro's rotation will be Oswalt,Pettite,Backe and Wandy Rodriguez. We won't need a 5th starter for till Aprill 11 and it's likely to be Carlos Hernandez and reclamation project from several years of shoulder problems. He was once a very promising pitcher and on the same level as Oswalt in the eyes of management.

Preston Wilson is the only real change to the lineup, and Jeff Bagwell will start the season on the DL. He's trying to come to grips that you can't play MLB with one shoulder. But he because of contracts he can't retire so he'll be on the DL all year probably.

My son and his wife (Eric and Rhonda) went to opening day at Dodger Stadium and had a wild time. The pregame show was Hootie and the Blowfish and a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber flew low over the stadium at the National Anthem. My son said that he was sitting in the very top row, down the leftfield line and felt like he could almost reach up and touch the darn thing as it went by. He also said that he was amazed at how quiet it was. There was no sound at all until it had flown away and when it turned sideways, it was almost invisible to the naked eye.

All of this with a huge storm blowing in from the Pacific, that washed out a game in San Diego today. Its raining hard out there right now.........

My wife's uncle, a retired MGen in the USAF, led the design team on the B-2.

It will do things we mere mortals cannot comprehend.

    DD,

I've been to several games when B2s did flyovers, and had the same experience - those things are SILENT!

Contrast that to a B1 lighting it's afterburners over the stadium...
now that is a FLYOVER!
