Wit a 14 - 0 lead at the start of the 3rd quarter, I am not feeling good about our offense. First game jitters are over... or at least they are supposed to be over. Crompton doe not have the vision right now to throw the ball down the field. We need to develop an option offense if he is the best QB we have. He has now thrown two interceptions (one as I was typing this) and is continuing to put the defense back on the field like he did at UCLA. Granted, our receivers are not helping him but Crompton is off target more than he is on.
After that last interception, I think that they heard me. We have gone to a predominantly running offense and have doubled our points in the third quarter. I realize that if we are one dimensional, Florida will key on the runnung backs. However, we have to do what we do well. Anything more than a screen and the Florida DBs will have a banner day.
Bill, it's not this game with which I am concerned. We have a bunch of lizzards coming... of right... you're one of 'em. I do like my chances in Scott's contest against you this week. I scored double points on both passing TDs and my defense got three interceptions.
