Help out the old men here. I'm sure The Verve Pipe is a popular band but I don't know who they are. :?
Sid, They are sort of like the Glenn Miller Orchestra, toss in Buddy Rich at drums (possibly Gene Krupa) and some modern techno glitz. Hope this helps! Terry
They ( The Verve Pipe) have been on Jay Leno and Letterman numerous times and the front man wrote a song ( Colorful...awesome song ) for the soundtrack of "Rock Star" and had a role in the movie which starred Jennifer Aniston and Mark Wahlburg. Their most popular song is "the Freshmen"....which is a great song. Here is the myspace link..."The Freshmen" is the 5th song down. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=18604035 Check out this link also for my son's band. The first three are originals and the last three are covers done live here in Detroit about 6 weeks ago at their CD release concert. http://www.myspace.com/lakeeffectband For the oldsters listen to "Can't You see Live"....a cover originally done by The Marshall Tucker Band in the mid 70s. My son is the lead guitar and lead singer and it is unabashedly awesome!
