Interesting that this whole thing is still going on, I assume this is all still the off shoot of the Albert Means saga right? I wonder what KFC he's cookin' in right now?

    well

<t>you can't boast about the crazy SEC fans in one thread and curse them in another.<br/>

This is part of the "Albert Means" scandal, but it has more to do with the Kenny Smith saga..<br/>

Let's not forget that the NCAA got its ass handed to them recently. While many of you (especially those of you who remember the 60s too well) would write that off as "Good Ole Bammer justice", I assure you the NCAA would have lost that case in just about any court room in America.<br/>

I know there was a lot of piling on that took place during the Bama investigation... and not a lot of critical thinking going on. I was screaming from the mountain tops then and will continue to do so now.<br/>

Its not that I dont think there was rogue boosters cheating at Alabama. IMHO, that doesn't actually matter at all. My objection is how the NCAA went about gathering (and in some cases creating) information. The ends don't justify the means.. (no pun intended)</t>

    What he said. 8)

I don't put much weight behind these lawsuits now. If folks from across the country don't see what the NCAA did in this case when it happened then they will just allow it to happen again. Actually, it may already be happening. USC boosters may have paid Bush to play for them but we will never know because apparently the NCAA is not going to even investigate. I wonder if anyone else on the team is receiving free housing for their family?
