    QB injuries are not the only problems for UCLA.

    Starting safety Bret Lockett is suspended for the 1st game of the season.

    Just what type of "academic reason" is worth a whole 1 game suspension? I'm used to seeing players out of school for at least a semester with a possible readmittance. One whole game....wow!

    Maybe because it's summer session? Maybe he's supposed to be getting a class out of the way to lighten his load for the fall quarter. I dunno.
