Having slept on it, perhaps my reaction was a bit strong. It wouldn't be the first time. Funny you should mention Gonzo. What prompted me to react the way I did was that the post in question was no different in substance from the posts which got Gonzo in trouble with the moderators. The only difference in form is that it was more Eddie Haskellian and not quite as in-your-face as Gonzo, but I stand firm in my belief that it is contrary to the tenets of this board. I guess the moderators' silence says that they don't consider it an issue. I won't lose any sleep over it.

Hate to mess up a nice run of wonderful posts here but BT....there is no fantasy in the fact that a team played for the NC with the #62 ranked schedule and lost to the only top 15 ranked team they faced on that schedule...at home. That's the facts.

With the poorest credentials of any team in recent memory....but hey I guess you have to look at the results once they got there. :wink: I will remind also that other teams with poor resumes didn't fare too well either like Nebraska vs. Miami in the 2002 Rose Bowl... You don't get blown out in your last game like the Huskers did and expect to perform in the NC game. In any event BT...I will pass on any further comment about 2007 Ohio State after this post......so you will get the last word. My opinion is well known on the overall strength of that team and their accomplishments or lack thereof and there is nothing else I can say. They made the game and that's about it. In most every other year they wouldn't have made the game losing as they did to Illinois in the next to last game of the year. Nobody would care about that if they performed well in the NC game and looked like they belonged there but they didn't......end of story. Now it's on to the next season which thankfully get's closer every day. In the meantime Corey can hijack any thread he wants to anytime....
