That government will fold like a house of cards under religious sectarian civil war within a year after we leave it.
We are winning. We need the oil. Iraqis want to ramp up to 4.5 million bpd. Since Iraqi security is improving with driving Sadr militias out of Basra and Sadr City and the sucess against Al Qaeda in the Anbar Province and Mosul, we need to keep sufficient troops to ensure continued progress.
See the next topic for a real world look at "security" in Sadr city. God bless your optimism Vic. Personally, I don't see anything positive coming out of this for us. And if Israel rattles Iran a little harder we are really screwed. O'Reilly was reporting that Israel has invasion plans for Iran to take place in the next few months. That should help the price at the pump.
It's a good thing Israel is the one who wants to invade Iran....(although not a good thing). I couldn't imagine our volunteer army taking on Iran right now. Also....just saw on ABC News a report of a 3rd suicide bombing in a week on Iraqi council meetings....this one killing 15. These guys have ba@@s just to go to a meeting it seems under these violent circumstances but how much longer?
