.....by MCG after reading this article. Hey...I will give credit where credit is due and to Michigan...very specifically to Michigan when it comes to the Big Ten I have to give credit. These guys are 6-1 in their last seven games vs. the SEC.....wow! What would the Big Ten record vs. the SEC be without Michigan? I shudder to think...... That is a record impossible to ignore and one to respect. Hail to the Victors.....Go Blue!! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls07/columns/story?id=3176511
Yeah Florida obliged on two of those losses....but last year's UF loss to Michigan was ranked pretty highly by some as one of Michigan's best bowl wins.... http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/04/10/best-moments-in-big-ten-football-history-3-michigan-beats-flor/
Nice job Vols......7-0 and BT would be a bit more contentious... ....no...that's not possible..
Michigan is 12-4 against historical members of the SEC and 20-5-1 against current members of the conference. Of course that could change if we have to play the Vols in the future or if App State is invited to join the SEC.
Michigan would do well to play its bowl games in Florida or adjoining states and avoid the Rose Bowl. How ya doin' Bobda? All's well here in the southern suburb of Michigan.
.....well let's do the math. This decade, Ohio State's "inferior", unworthy opposition in the Big 10 conference that "sucks" is 11-6. M is 5-1. That would make the rest of the "inferior" opposition teams 6-5 against their juggernaut SEC counterparts. The other recent conference champs this decade, PSU is 2-1, Iowa is 2-1 and the Badgers are 2-3 -v- their superior SEC counterparts.
0 for the last two and 0 for 9 are some stats that stand out pretty well. Seems to me I went back recently and the last 18 games the SEC was 10-8 vs the Big Ten....or something to that effect. But also you ignore what I said about the important year that counts in all of my discussion being last year because it was last year's admittance of OSU to the BCS title game that I have been questioning because of last year's lousy Big Ten....who went 3-5 in the bowls. Questioning that a little but most specifically how it strengthens the need for Ohio State to beat USC to make it back to the NC game. Michigan beating Alabama in the 2000 Orange Bowl for example has no significance to that equation.
Dude, I think you might have mentioned that before and I think you know that there are those that think you are wrong.....give it a rest.
ahem <r>keeping 'straight' with the theme of the other thread, i'd just like to say....<br/> <br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q169/biz881/gay_thread.jpg"><s></e></IMG><br/> <br/> not that there is anything wrong with it.</r>
Doing better, Sid. Bought a home in Milwaukee near Miller Park in late May and we will sell our GR home in early July after it had been on the market for 10 months. Two years ago, homes in our neighborhood would sell in a month or two. But, I am one of the lucky ones. I read recently that the inventory on homes in the Detroit metropolitan area is roughly 30 months.
The small breweries in Western Michigan--Kalamazoo Brewing Company and Founders-make beer as good as any in Wisconsin but the brats and sausages in Milwaukee are incredible. I think Lloyd has put on 5 pounds since coming here.
