I like the new CMR, the one who does whatever it takes to win on the field. But I don't like this guy, I thought he was better than this.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. How can he possibly want to do something to raise the spirits of these guys by showing them that the people back home haven't forgotten about them? And right before Memorial Day! Absolutely despicable!

The several other coaches include Charlie Weis. I hope you're joking. I know you have been against the war from the start, but certainly you couldn't have anything against the men and women who are there to fight.

Sure he does. After all those that put their lives on the line to protect this country are the biggest threat to those anti-Americans among us.

Sherman had the right idea, he just didn't go near far enough.

I think you can have an anti-war opinion without showing non-support for the troops.

I think it's great that the troops that are over there receive as much moral support as possible and I think that's why you see some Hollywood types and others who maybe don't support the idea of the war still go overseas to provide support to the troops themselves who are just doing their job.

Therefore I think TB is off base for criticizing Richt.

I have no problem with visiting the troops. Here's what I don't like.

"Richt has even put his personal message on a mission. The coach took paint to a 2,000-pound bomb and wrote on it, "Go Dawgs. Finish the Drill. Hunker Down."

I THINK THE GUY'S FRICKIN PREJUDICE

"You think the Army is over here on the land and the Navy is out in the sea and the Air Force is somewhere else, but they are all here and working together," Richt said. "There is a real esprit de corps. Everybody has just come together.

Gipper, You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You know you aren't worth getting mad about. I forgive you for your sorry ass comment. And that goes for you also Bill.

Right now I'm going over to see my closest friend. His son Richard is home on leave. He has a hernia operation in a week and then after he mends, he'll finish his Army Ranger training. Then it's off to Iraq or Afghanastan. I think the world of his kid. To think he puts on a uniform to fight for a country with low lifes who think little or nothing for him hurts my soul. I'm not a bit ashamed of anything I wrote. I am ashamed of some of my fellow countrymen.

Tailback, within the last month I have had the pleasure of welcoming home two young men from Iraq. One is a grand nephew of mine, he is in the Marines and just got back from Iraq.

The second person is the grandson of dear friends of mine here in Franklin and they held a pizza party yesterday to welcome him home.

Both are fine young men and having their moral lifted by people like Richt makes me think higher of Richt.

Let's be clear, I don't need your forgiveness period.

Also even though this is about a football coach it really belongs in the Back Room. Take your political opinions there.

    TB,

My son has been there and my nephew is there now. The irony of this is that, unlike us, they wouldn't waste the spit on you. They are focused on what's important.

Well gentlemen, Bill and Terry might overrule me and if so, I will reverse it. However, for now, Tailback is in a time out. I think that is what parents do to unruly toddlers these days.

    Terry and Bill,

I copied and pasted what Tailback wrote here. For a man that professes to be a Christian, I am sure he wanted it deleted anyway. I helped him accomplish that task. I will send you a copy in e-mail.

On second thought, I think I am going to repost what TB wrote using **** to cover the profanity. I want all to know why I reacted by taking down his posts and blocking his account.

First, he wrote this to George:
And then to Bill he wrote:
