This is about as excited as I have heard Meyer in a preseason talk when discussing the Gators upcoming season...From a Tampa Gator club meeting: "Saw him tonight. Great stuff. Focused on how truly great it is to be a Gator. How lucky we are to be part of such a great community with such a great school and (peripherally) such a great athletic program. Discussed motivation and how truly hard it is to motivate a former national championship team - and thus how much respect he has for Coach Donovan for attaining back-to-back championships. Talked about the team. Focused heavily on character and how well the team is doing in the classroom. Mentioned Rainey several times - both as an athlete and a character. Talked about how leaders were tough to find last year, but he now has "17 or 18" members of the leadership committee. O-line can be the best in the SEC. Receivers are amazing. He's excited about the tailbacks for the first time in his tenure. D-line will be fine as they mature. Feels Carlos Dunlap is truly a freak and will be a Gator great. Said Omar is "in town" and will affect the team this year. Said the good thing about the CBs are they are all coming back - the bad thing about the CBs are they are all coming back (haha) - but they are working hard and will be much better. Mentioned Jenkins by name, so I assume he'll qualify ok. Mentioned the safeties as a potential strongpoint and discussed Will Hill specifically. He did say that we are still very young, but he expects great things. Most importantly he talked about how lucky he is. He mentioned how amazing it is he coaches Tim Tebow who hands off to Percy Harvin. That alone amazes him." TB....be scared my man...... 8)
