Astros sweep the Dodgers in L.A. for the first time since 1992. Man this is rarified air for the Astros in May, we are usally sinking to the bottom of the division in May/June and don't start playing till after the 4th of July.

You Cubbies and Cardinals better watch out. If we can get our CF hitting to go with his outstanding play on defense, and Lance Berkman can continue hsi MVP performance AND Wandy Rodriguez can come back from the DL and be a solid starter.....LOOK OUT!!!

ps...it's times like this I really miss Dodger Dog!! :)

AND pigs learn how to fly.

Seriously, I would like to see a spirited race in the NL Central. IMO the ultimate winner will be determined by whose overall pitching stinks the least. All the staffs are decent but not deep either in the starting rotation or the bullpen.

Like you, Terry, I miss Dodger Dog.

It's definitely going to be a hitters division. I wonder if Mulder is going to make it back for the Cardinals, I read he had another minor setback in a minor league game.

Listening to drivetime sports last night, and there was no enthusiasm for the Astros current win streak. They all said we were playing over our heads and would come back to earth with a thud, nobody even though we'd finish over .500 due to our pitching.

What a downer!! I'm pumped! Another big game for Berkman last night and another road win for the Astros!

Yikes!! Jim Edmonds to become a Cub, that is odd given the intensity of the Cubs/Cards and I don't think Cubs fans every really liked Jim!
