So while Obama thinks that hard working Americans living in small towns are xenophobic bigoted gun toting religious nuts, he is only saying what elite liberals already think. However this may be what the Hillary camp was waiting for. I don't think it will be enough to win enough supers to win the nomination, but will certainly damage Obama in the general election.

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

CNN devoted a whole hour to this. Some panel members saying that this was a huge blunder and could decide the election.

The type of comment from a completely inexperienced candidate that you might expect......

According to a lengty article in today's Wall Street Journal, you are absolutely correct. The article pointed out that Obama's problems continue to mount since he has never run for a National office and therefore has not undergone the scrutiny that this entails. Of course, neither has Hillary, but her record has a great percentage of the US believing she rides on a broom. They likened this to the Democrats encountering the hazzard of "..falling in love on the first date.."
