Bracket Contest Thread.

I see that Bill's SEC loyalty cost him a win today!!

Of course I have a number of Big East picks so I could be in the same bucket later..but for now being 5 out of 5 I'm stylin!!!

 

I changed Kentucky pick this morning but I guess I didn't save it. I've only lost one out of seven so far.

 

Yeah, I thought Kentucky would win one!

Oh well 6/7 keeps me in the hunt.

 

I see that only three of us picked Tennessee to go all the way. I wonder who the other two were????? :roll: :roll: :roll:

In fact I think we were the only three that didn't pick a number one seed to win?

I didn't even put a number one seed in the finals.

 

other 2? You mean Aquila didn't pick the Vols to go all the way? Man he must be serious about winning the contest! 8)

 

I see we have some more new blood...a female Ryckman, and I wonder who lil-big-john is? Could it be Stu's friend? But he's a Mich grad. I see my baby sis has jumped in, so last place is locked up!!

We don't have near the point guard play or discipline to go any further.

It was nice to add another tourney win to the ledger tho!



BTW guys, Kesley's team put a beat-down on their first round opponent so the Irish are gonna be in for a game in the 2nd round. Should be a good one!

 

I am 14-16 after day one. USC surprised me and the Aggies I question, to my dismay!

My bracket and my team are both still alive. However, with the way Louisville is treating the Sooners, we MUST step it up for our next game.

 

I'm not sure that a team with as many players who wear headbands has ever made it past the sweet 16!

 

UNC looks almost unbeatable at this point.

Tough bracket for the Vols.....would have been much better off sealing up the #1 seed with an SEC Tourney championship.....but they didn't and now face a very difficult journey that could end abruptly I'm afraid and thus there goes the SEC in this year's event.

 

I have to agree, UNC and Louisville look like the best teams going right now. I think Tennessee had a couple of tough matchups in Butler and American though and as Tom pointed out in another thread, the style of play that both Louisville and UNC like suits Tennessee better. Chris Lofton has virtually disappeared thus far in the tourney though. Perhaps Ramar Smith has gotten the wake-up call as he played quite well in overtime. I think Tennessee is playing some of its worst basketball of the season overall though and will need to step it up big-time to not get blown away by either Louisville or, potentially, UNC in the next round.

 

Question....how did you guys (Stu,BuckeyeT,Tom,Don Ballard,etc) get those cute little team avatars? I can't see a setting for anything like that?

I just became a BIG Louisville fan.

Here is the scenario:

Elite 8 winners: Louisville, Memphis, Kansas, UCLA

Final 4 winners: Louisville, Memphis

Champion: Louisville

Won't happen but I can hope!

I end up in 3rd place and Cindy ends up in 5th. I will win both the all important McCord household race and the slightly less important moderator race. :wink:

 

OK, Louisville didn't win. I won my MAJOR bet though! I get a free 20 oz. Diet Pepsi on Monday!!! :roll:
