The Buckeyes managed an OT win over Purdue here is Columbus last night to stay alive seeking an NCAA Tournament bid.

In reality I think we won a little too late and probably upset Purdue's bid for the Big Ten Title, more than anything else. (Sorry Stu)

Our final season game will be Sunday here at home against the MSU Spartans.

Even with a win Sunday, I think we need to win the Big Ten Tournament to qualify for the big dance, which is very unlikely.

There's a good chance the Gators don't make it too Don. How would that be, neither finalist from last year?

I'm hoping the Gators win one more SEC game and one in the the SEC tournament and play their way into the Big Dance.

I have been thinking Ohio State would be there.

Hey, nice win for the Buckeye's.

Not very well played game, but pretty damn exciting to watch....a quality win for the Buckeyes. imo, they HAVE to beat Sparty and have a solid showing in the conference tourney to get to the dance.

Stu, those baby Boilers are tough. They are going to be something if you can keep 'em together....

Ohio State is above .500 in the B10 so as long as you guys stay above .500 then I could definitely see you in the dance. Same thing for the Gators, I can't imagine an above .500 team with more than 20 wins and with their recent history not making the dance. Of course if either team flames out at the end and doesn't win a conference tournament game then maybe they would be on the bubble. But I'd be very surprised if both OSU and UF aren't in the NCAA tournament.

    TOK,

I hear you but they have folded like a cheap suit at the end of the year and the committee does not like that...prior to the Purdue win, zero quality wins and a number of ugly losses - Iowa, Stripeheads and Minny among others have me less than optimistic.

    I hope you're right....

I thought Ohio State looked good last night as well. They have a lot of work to do to get in though.

Florida has a lot to gain by putting the L on the Vols tonight. Scary game for Tennessee.

Well played game by the Buckeyes.

Tough loss, to be sure...I thought we might sneak away with it because I've felt the Buckeyes have not been playing up to their potential as of late, but they came through last night.

Our lack of muscle inside really showed and our free throw shooting wasn't up to our usual standard...our steadiest guy missed a couple critical ones while Othello Hunter, usually suspect on the line, made his.

Butler was money in the second half...Kramer having four fouls didn't help much. Turner has really cranked up his game as well for the Buckeyes.

It's strange...Buckeyes were listed as favorites going in, and yet both my newspapers talk today about "upsetting the Boilermakers".

One month ago we were desperately seeking a quality win...we beat Wiscy twice and split with MSU, and now all of a sudden we are a quality win for the Buckeyes.

Big 10 needs to go round robin...we are now a game behind Wiscy (who doesn't have to travel to Lansing where MSU is undefeated), and tied with IU, who beat us in Bloomington but doesn't have to come to W. Lafayette (where we went undefeated in conference play).
