Here it is... This Saturday... A game that could launch Tennessee into the pace necessary to slide through the SEC Tourney and then possibly go all the way in the big dance... or a game that could send Tennessee into the pits of depression. Which will it be? As a Tennessee fan, I can't get overly optimistic. Extremely excited, yes. Proud of my team, heck yes. Believe we can win, yes. Cautiously optimistic, YES! I believe this team can do it. I think this team believes as well.
This ... <t>Is a classic and I really think Tenn has a shot even on the road. Memphis will not make the final four IMO.<br/> <br/> Already told the wife to forget anything past dinner as its HD TV time.</t>
Hey, I don't think it's an either or situation. Tennessee has a great chance to go deep into and even win the NCAA tourney win or lose this game. However it would be much better to win as a fan wouldn't it?  Go Vols!
Not sure... Haven't been in this position before as a fan of Tennessee Men's BBall. Of course it would be better! 8)
Hey Tom, last year Tennessee beat Florida both games if I remember right, if not we split and the beating you gave us late in the season in Knoxville was probably the worst we had been beaten in a long time. I think at one point you guys had at least a 30 point lead late in the game. However at the end of the season the Gators won the SEC and the NCAA. My point is that one loss no matter when, where or how bad does not make or break a season for either team. Having said that I'm pulling for you guys to keep winning except of course wen we meet you in Gainesville! :? :?
Can you believe how Memphis is hitting the three's? This is going to be a five shock night for me and the AED!
I am happy to be down by only one point at the half. The way Memphis was knocking down the three pointers early, I had visions of it being much worse. To have a legitimate shot at the win with two minutes left against the number 1 team on their court is all I can ask. Tennessee has hung tough and did not panic when the three’s were falling for Memphis. My main concern is that Memphis is going to abandon the threes and go inside with two of our starting Smiths in foul trouble, one of them with three fouls, the other with two. The only consolation is that three of Memphis’ starters are in trouble with two fouls each.
Awesome first half both teams played great, both were unconscious from 3 pt land early. Tenn clearly is the team who can get it inside and also get offensive rebounds. If Memphis can't get their inside game going Tenn will win it.
Thanks Bill! Tennessee men have never been to #1 before and it sure feels good. We just need to guard against a let down after this big win!
Congratulations Tom, great win. I was very impressed with your player Prince. Is he related to the the guy who played at Kentucky, Tayshaun Prince? With so much emotion and effort tonight that'll be a tough game against another very good team in Vanderbilt.
I don't think so Terry. Tayshaun Prince was from California and J. P. is from Memphis. Not saying they couldn't be related but I don't think so. Thanks for the congrats. I can't believe we won this with Lofton scoring only 7 points... three of those points were free throws with two of them in the last 2 seconds.
