Yes we do. I am not overly confident but am excited to watch that game.
Never fear Tom, Tennessee always saves their best games for the Gators. Now that the shoe is on the other foot though as to who is highest rated we may play our best game.  Although we may be hard pressed to surpass our effort against Vandy.
Looks like Georgia is on the slide with another loss tonight and this time to East cellar dweller, South Carolina. Kentucky, though a distant third right now, looks to be the possible spoiler in the East. The Mississippi State vs Arkansas game was a shocker. Arkansas blew out undefeated Mississippi State by 20 points tonight. Unlike my feelings yesterday, it now appears that Tennessee has the easier game before the Tennessee/Florida matchup.
It's shaping up to be an interesting season for Tenn. basketball indeed. I love watching this team play. They have a nice blend of athletic slashers and shooters. They don't have the bangers to enter that mix yet but I think as Duke Crews gets healthier and Brian Williams gets more experienced they may have that as well. Tyler Smith is an amazing young talent that Tenn. is lucky to have. Lofton is getting hot as well. The thing that concerns me about this team is the very thing that I love about them. They play with so uptempo that I think they get careless at times and don't have enough discipline. This team is ultratalented though and could play well into March.
I am not sure how easy Tennessee will have it but the absolute shocker to this point today is the Florida at Arkansas game. With a little less than 9 minutes left in the game, Arkansas is up by 24, 66 - 42.
Florida goes down to Arkansas leaving the only two teams with only one SEC loss playing tonight. At 9pm Eastern, only one team will have only one SEC loss. Will it be Tennessee or will it be Mississippi State?
Just realized that UGA lost again today. South Carolina, Vandy, and UGA are now tied for last place in the SEC East at 2 - 4. Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee look to be the contenders in the East with Tennessee holding a very slight lead at the moment.
The loss to Arkansas was not a total shocker to me Tom. The Gators are very young and don't have much bulk and height, we missed our threes and Arkansas controlled the inside. Just one of those games. Tennessee is the class of the SEC and I think you win tonight.
Another revelation: Vandy and South Carolina both won tonight. That means UGA has taken a commanding lead in the race for last place in the East. Mississippi State is also trying to stage a comeback. With only 10:30 left, Mississippi State has drawn to within 9 points. Go Vols!!!
With 3 minutes to go, Mississippi State has come alive on the 3 pointers. They are now only 6 points down. Go Vols!!!
Well... Mississippi State won    the second half but not by as much as Tennessee won the first half. Tennessee moves to 6 - 1 to lead the over all SEC standings.
Georgia is doing its best to move out of last place in the East. After a little ove 4 minutes played, Georgia has doubled the SC offensive output. Geirgia up 24 - 12.
Yeah and LSU is hammering Florida 20-8. All of a sudden LSU is looking like a good team, just our luck.
The SEC is overall probably a little weaker this year than it has been in years gone by. However, I have been impressed with several of the teams that I've watched play including LSU. The UT-LSU game was an ugly affair but LSU has a couple of guys who can dominate for small periods of time. Tennessee is clearly the class of the SEC but I think several teams can make some noise come tourney time. I look for the tourney teams to be Arkansas, Tenn., Florida, Vandy, and either Ole Miss or Miss. State. I don't think the SEC gets more than 5 teams in. You would have to consider all of the teams except Tennessee still on the bubble at this point. There's a lot of basketball left to be played and I wouldn't be surprised if a team like Kentucky comes up an wins the conference tourney to get in. March is going to be a fun month. The Memphis Tennessee game next week is almost certainly a game that will decide a number one seed.
IMO, the way this season is shaping up, both of those teams potentially are #1 seeds. The Big 10 is not as deep as in the past and at this point definitely does not have a team that looks like a #1 seed. The Big East is deep but unless G-town wins the conference tournament, I don't see them as a #1 seed. Duke and NC are potential #1's as are Kansas and UCLA. Just my opinion, subject to change of course.
Florida's chances for the NCAA tournament took a big hit with the one sided loss to LSU. We seem to hit a wall about this time every year, but this year it may be harder to recover.
