    They beat Wisconsin on Wisconsin's home floor for the first time since 1996 and are all alone in 1st place in the Big10. They are primarily freshmen and sophomores. I'm not sure there is a senior on the team. Painter sure has them headed in the right direction. Like ND, they are much better than anyone expected them to be.

    I saw that Sid, the new coach has been sort of quiet in his rebuilding of Purdue basketball. But they are now a top 25 team and rising.

    Sorry to take so long to answer...busy weekend.

    Watched the game in a bar with Crazy John (can't get Big Ten Network at home yet)...was a pretty weird game.

    Wiscy outrebounded us 43-21 including 19 offensive boards resulting in 20 points.

    They make 30 of 33 free throws, while we only go 12 of 22.

    One of our starters didn't play, and another fouls out early.

    How do you win with those stats?...I wouldn't think it was possible...but we shot incredibly well, especially in the first half and established a lead, and our defense was really good;

    We shot 53% to their 33%. We were 42% from 3-point while they were 17%.

    I dunno how these kids (start 4 freshmen and a sophmore) will finish out but they are fun to watch.

    Those kids are showing alot of poise and looking good....I'm still pi$$ed after watching a very uninspired effort from my Buckeyes Sunday....frankly, I expected more from them at this point in the season. They have their work cut out for them and will need a strong finish and good run in the conference tourney to have a shot at the Dance.

    Big 10 and SEC seem to have fewer top 25 teams than any year I can remember....must be very young leagues right now.

    Buckeyes are indeed very young...sometimes it takes a little longer to gel together. I really like Koufas and Diebler for the future.

    I wish that the team could be giving a little better sendoff for the seniors Butler and Hunter, though.

    The SEC has THE one team in the top 25, #4 actually, that I am concerned with! :wink:

    Big, big win for the kiddie corps last night. They avenged their only Big 10 loss so far. They showed mettle, having built an 18 point lead in the first half only to see it evaporate in the second half but hanging tough at the end for the win. This group of kids is for real.

    You have to love the Boilermakers this season! This is what makes college basketball so enjoyable to me.
