Well, we've moved away from the topic, but that's OK. This public display of weapons strength by Tom and George as well as the budding love fest between Michigan and Notre Dame provide a nice respite. After all, we'll be talking baseball in some form for the next 9 months. It sounds like the Mets and Santana's agents are butting heads. Who'da thunk it? Gee.....6 years guaranteed at 25 per or 5 years with a 6th year option? Woe is me. What to choose?
Jif, What do you think about the Red Sox' CF situation now that they have both Crisp and Ellsbury on the roster? Platoon? Trade? What's the thinking in Beantown?
The graphics just keep improving around here. You mean the Marlins are not going to be a factor? Just kidding, in fact they may not even be a team much longer. I do hear that the city of Miami is investigating tearing down the Orange Bowl and building a baseball stadium on the site. My only question would be the parking, for years when going to the Orange Bowl you had to park in people's yards. That was true all the way back to prior to my high school days in the 50's. I'll believe it when I see it.
JIF, Send a crew down there to meet with TT. We need a sit down. Tell then to wear their camo suits,,,, with the pinstripes.
Come on down guys... JIF and George. I would guess that you are going to borrow Scotts so I guess that I'll have to send the SUV in for an upgrade... 4000 Rounds per minute
Terry, That's my son Scott a few years ago on patrol outside of Prince Sultan AB near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The thing he is holding is a lizard.... the locals call them dub-dubs. The soldiers kept them as pets. Here's a better photo where Scott poses him on his .60 atop his HumVee.
In this mornings Chronicle Ryan Dempster predicts a Cubs win in the WS, and it's reported that the Cubs are moving him from the Bullpen to Starting pitcher. That seems odd to me, how long has it been since he's been a starter, Sid?
I'm not sure Terry. I think he has spent a little time in recent seasons as a spot starter for the Cubs due to injuries, but as a full-time starter? I'm sure it's been quite a while.
