Hey everyone, our album is finally finished and we put up 3 new songs on the myspace page. Brand New God, The Straights, and Kids are all on the new album. There's also the original acoustic demo of Kids which is on the soundrack for a small indie movie called Over the GW. Check them out and let me know what you think. www.myspace.com/echofission
I'm pretty much and oldies/country type of guy. So it's hard for me to be objective. But I did post a link to your site over on NDNation where there are a lot of guys who probably would like your style. Do you guys play clubs in New Jersey/PA/NY? I didn't see a listing of any appearance dates. Good Luck!! Terry
I appreciate it Terry! Right now we don't have any tour dates set. We have been rehearsing quite a bit now and are likely looking at some time in March. We'll probably play Mexicali Blues in Teaneck NJ for our cd release show. Things kinda got thrown for a loop when my dad passed away and our lead guitarist is expecting his first child anyday now so it's been hectic to say the least. I'll let you know when we do set some dates up. Mike
Hi Joel, I was a mortgage rep for a brokerage in Warren Twp (also where I live). My father and I had always talked about starting up our own brokerage and run it from his cpa office for the last couple years. We both kind of procrastinated and it unfortunately never happened. I'm now in the process of opening that business on my own and will be running it out of his old office. The CPA who bought his practice will be renting part of the office from me.
Mike, Your pop's office was in Kenilworth? Or nearby? When you re-open it give me me a call... I'm only 40 mins south at Exit 98 off the GSP. I'll drive up and well grab a bite to eat. My neighbor's kid has a band going named Status Green. They have two CDs out and have won a number of band contests and actually opened for Bon Jovi up at Mohegan Sun. They play all over NJ, Philly and in Manhattan. They need a label badly to get to the next level. Sounds like you guys may be roughly at the same point in your evolution. Here's a link to their My Space page. The drummer is my neighbor's son, Mike Montalto. He attributes his success to the fact that I was his Little League coach for two years 8) http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=36586740
Wow, they have a great sound, and opening for Bon Jovi is no small feat. I'm actually really impressed they were able to get a gig like that without a label. They have a bright future if they keep pursuing it. Dad's office was in Union NJ. I'm really hoping to get my brokerage license by the beginning of March if things go well. There's a laundry list of requirements, though I have most of them covered. I'd definitely do lunch sometime George. I remember reading you and my dad were trying to get together a while back. If I recall, do you sell office equipment?
 If anyone is interested On Dance Wars monday nights we have a family member that is on the show ... hername is Elizabeth and wow can she sing.... she is our neice (long story) He brothers our my brothers sons. one of them just signed a record deal with Apple he has been in England recording ... But Elizabeth is really a sweet heart my kids adore her
Diane, Dance wars is not shown in Singapore... Imagine that. I'll get Cindy to record it for me. Cindy is quite a good singer herself. When we met in 1982, she was singing with a band in Nashville: Jim Vest and the Nashville Cats. Married life took her away from that. Now our little Methodist church is the only audience for her tallents.
Checked out the tunes Mike....very nice and great harmonies. I am on an email list from Live Nation in Detroit and they keep sending requests to many bands including my son's to fill schedules at The Shelter/St. Andrews Hall in Detroit. My son's band Lake Effect just doesn't fit that style that they keep asking for but yours would. Lake Effect has a new tune or two since you last listened in I believe: http://www.myspace.com/lakeeffectband
