Gosh I just can't possibly think of the various points that can be taken from starting a thread that poses actual matchups on field for the upcoming season.

Perhaps you would like to spend the next 8 months kicking around SI articles about 'what ifs' for the 08 season.. You could have said, 'wow ASU and Georgia might have title implications' or......'Slick Rick will get tested early' or... Oregon State at Penn State could be fun...

but not.. I hand you a blank canvas, a box full of brushes and 10 new cans of paint...and you **** on the canvas..

nevermind Terry, there's no point at all in this. Just go ahead and lock it up. I'm done here</r>
With the exception of Arizona, all of the P10 schools have a very credible schedules. USC's, W's, and UCLA's schedules go beyond credible and border on the brutal. Unfortunately, the national trend seems to be going in the opposite direction.
A little testy are we? Sure you're the only one who cares about good football! Give me a break. Having said that, the out of conference schedules are impressive, especially USC and Washington.
At first glance I was going to pick on Rick's OOC, but then I realized it's tougher than the Aggies!! Sorry Gonzo! 8) Ark St @New Mexico Miami Army I'd say those are the kinds of scheds all season ticket holders want to see. If you're paying the big bucks, you don't want a steady diet of cream-puffs. Believe me, I KNOW!!
In fairness to ASSU, Northern Arizona has been alternating between U of A and ASfU every season lately, to the financial benefit of their program. Arizona seems to be going down the Kasnas State path in terms of scheduling. The New Mexico game does harken back to the old WAC days when the schools played for the Kit Carson Rifle (that was discontinued because "he killed Native Americans"). The Toledo game is partially due to the Stoops connection to Ohio, but still, having Idaho in the mix with the other two is a bit overboard. U of A should have bowled this season, but the defense that carried us the prior season - with its 10 returning starters - was inexplicably bad to start the season. Under Stoops the last few years the Cats have started out shaky, been on death watch in October, had a huge November, then flopped against the Sun Gerbils. Fans are more than antsy.
