New York sports talk radio is burning up with speculation that Pete Carroll is very interested in the Atlanta Falcons job. Arthur Blank has reportedly offered him complete control of the operations there.

Carroll is a tremendous college coach. He is equally as bad as a pro HC. In my opinion this would be a huge mistake for both parties.

Ah, but he can handle college ADs and alums who would be terrified if he left. Nothing like a little bargaining chip or to provided by Arthur the Blank.

Yeah it keeps his name in the news, influencing kids and alums alike. But unless his ego can't stand that he failed 2x as a Pro head coach, he'd be a fool to leave USC. He really has things going his way, only thing that can derail him is if he gets greedy and starts to have NCAA problems.
