TOK, we're staying right in the French Quarter....I didn't make the arrangements so the name of the joint escapes me at present, but I know it's not one of the large chains. I've been down several times pre-Katrina so I'm anxious to get a look at the state of the recovery first hand. My biggest concern and recurring nightmare is to what extent are the wait staff and food service people and preparers big LSU fans!?
Well thanks again Rick. Actually I think I followed the conversation well enough, maybe interpreted things a little different than you, but followed it just fine. However I think it's kind of obvious that the biggest reason for a lot of this conversation is because of a couple of people who think it's obvious that the two best teams are Georgia and S. Cal at this point. I agree that Georgia and S. Cal would have been a more entertaining and in my humble opinion S. Cal would have won rather handily.
I disagree with the relevance of a question asked by another poster, and so you in turn suggest that I ask that same question of others. :?
Look Rick don't ask anybody any question ok. Perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying but what is the point here? Don's ask, don't tell, whatever makes you happy.
You can choose a ready guide In some celestial voice If you choose not to decide You still have made a choice You can choose from phantom fears And kindness that can kill I will choose a path thats clear I will choose free will Rock on, Bill...
There are those who think that life Has nothing left to chance With a host of holy horrors To direct our aimless dance A planet of playthings We dance on the strings Of powers we cannot perceive "The stars aren't aligned --- Or the gods are malign" Blame is better to give than receive BDR, you never cease to amaze me.....last album I put on my mp3 player. True story.....words by Neil Peart, music by Geddy Lee.
I'm not as deep as y'all... No Rush fer Stu... Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then. Pull down thy vanity...
Buck-T, I still owe you big thanks for turning me on to "Hamp and Getz". I had music by Stan Getz, mostly stuff with other artists like Bill Evans, Cal Tjader and Gao Gilberto, but I'd never really explored his catalog. Thanks to you I've gained a new appreciation for his work.
I've been a big fan for years.....going back "in the day" when I was a drummer and always enjoyed playing alot of big band stuff. When my Dad passed - he was in the radio business - I got his library of big band and jazz classics - a real treasure to me. Great stuff.... How 'bout I collect payment with a nice cubano and a "Fatty" in Cali next September?
Sounds like a plan, Buck-T. Speaking of beer and cigars, are you familiar with Brookelynn Premium Cigars in Wilmington? Looks like my kind of place...
