The game is less than a week away...time for a topic and some thoughts about the game.

I have waffled a little because of the state of flux that UM has been in.
At times I think the Maize and Blue will be very competitive and make it a high scoring 41-31 type game and other times things happen like the coaching staff getting fired last week and that makes me think UF wins in a walk.

When I look at what Meyer has done with more than a week to prepare for games ( 23-2 ) I have to believe that his team will be extremely prepared and focused compared to a Michigan team that has been constantly distracted. That does not bode well for UM IMHO.

I am going to revise my game score prediction and say we are looking at a 45-17 Florida victory.

I'll have to see that to believe it. If Michigan can run the ball effectively they can win this game.

    George,

If not for the circumstances I would say UM could score the 31 points I mentioned.

I just think the chances are greater that UF dominates given the chaotic few weeks since Carr's announced retirement.

UF seems to be ready for this game from what I hear and Tebow isn't some Heisman senior trying avoid to getting hurt in the bowl game before the big draft. He still has that fire that he has had all season and I think that makes a huge difference in this game.

Based upon what I read here, the game gets out of hand early and the Gators win in dominating fashion against an obviously overmatched foe....

    Hang in there Bobda.....Go Blue!

I think Michigan mails it in and get their asses handed to them.

Quite a win for the Boilers last night eh Stu? I watched it early and I thought the Boilers were going to win 75-12 or something like that, then I switched to another program...switched back and the Chips were on a roll...exciting finish. Painter had a career night.

<t>aside from Illinois, Michigan hasn't fared well against the spread option.<br/>

If Florida loses this, Urban will have some questions to answer.</t>

Thanks, Terry...I was pretty happy about it.

Lots of angst on the Purdue List about the defensive let-down in the third quarter and our disappointing season and not being excited until we beat somebody other than a MAC team...but these guys were the MAC champs and they've lit it up against everybody they played.

One guy actually was complaining because we didn't mix it up or throw in any wrinkles...in a game where we had 587 yards and 51 points.

    Sports fans...can't ever satisfy them.

I was at the game last night. 3 guys from the office and I went to the game after a little casino action and dinner. It was a great time. Both schools had loud fans although the Chips had more there. It seemed like the Purdue turnovers cancelled out the terrible CMU kicking game. Only down thing was that I couldn't get the crowd to get into the "Fire Milen!" chant. :D
