I thought he was the one respsonsible for turning around the Auburn offense for Tubberville. I wonder what happened, did he and Tubberville have problems? I see the Auburn offense has struggled lately but is it his fault or did Tubberville start meddling?

    I told you

<t>this is what you need to understand about Tommy Tubesteak.

He is a terrible coach to work for.. When things are going great, he takes almost all of the credit. If the media insists on crediting you, he takes credit for hiring you.

If things go bad, YOU are the problem.

IMHO, Auburn's QB was just not very good. He was a Tubesteak target. The kid was in his 6th year. He received quality coaching, he just couldn't get it done consistently. They were really hobbled with injuries, lack of experience and a few disciplinary issues to start the season. You would think that would indicate the HC has some work to do, but not down on the Plains.

Tubesteak prides himself on being a CEO type of head coach. When things go well, he gets all the glory and the raise. When things go bad, he has sh*tty assistant coaches. This way he doesn't blame the kids and saves face there, while also keeping his own boots clean.

By firing his OC, Tubesteak is playing the angles to get himself yet another year even if they struggle next season. He may well have himself the built-in excuse of 'hey, i'm breaking in a new oc (and they may be breaking in 2 new coordinators).

I loathe Tommy T. The Bowden's have more integrity than this SOB and that's saying something.

Auburn fans (well not all, Hi Desiree), are blinded by the win streak over Alabama. I think they are afraid of parting ways with Eers because they are enjoying being #1 in the state. I don't think they see it from outside the box.. If they did, they'd see that they'd most likely be in that same position regardless of their coach as Alabama has had its own struggles over the past 6 years.</t>

    I agree with Corey.

I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of hiring TT due to the money, but now it seems I had other reasons.

    well

<t>Troy has done a good job of creating schematic advantages with lesser talent. That won't be his problem at Auburn though. They get tremendous athletes.

He will put up points and yards, most likely, but that backup QB they had this year was not good at all. He's got a lot of work to do as a passer before he can become a 2way threat required in the offense Troy showed this year.

One thing is for certain.. you have to be able to run the ball to win or do well in the SEC. I think Borges tailored his offense very well to SEC play. You aren't going to win the conference with a Texas Tech style offense. Even SOS' great teams could run the ball when they had to, you'll lose 2 games a year in that conference if you can't kill the clock.

This may work out well, we'll see. I think they are trying to pull this dog and pony show because they are out of the running on Julio Jones and other top flight WRs. Jones' hurts because he's from not too far away. Jones is considering Texas Tech btw.
We'll see.. this may work.</t>
