    when you look at next season's schedule their is a lot of room for optimisim. Ya gotta beleive ND can win at least 8 of these. Looks like a good season to get back on track to me.

    are you sure thats a Notre Dame schedule? Check again...seems more like North Dakota State :!: :!: :!:

    I'll answer that. I actually see 10 very winnable games based on how we might reasonably improve and what some of the teams on our schedule lose (e.g., BC without Ryan this past season might have allowed us to pull out that game. Navy without Paul Johnson as coach, etc.). The only two exceptions as far as clearly winnable are Michigan and SC.

    Now, having answered your question, I'm curious why you asked it.

    ...nothing sinister Sid. Not trying to be a smart ass at all, just trying to get an honest read on ND's expectations for next year. Without having a dog in the fight, my sense is that it is a very important year for Charlie and the program. If expectations are unreasonable and the Irish struggle to meet them, Charlie will have a tough time hanging on to the program, imho.

    That said, I hope they perform well. I'm an old school guy and believe that a strong ND is good for college football and I for one look forward to the day when they get back to the elite among college football where they belong.
