I read this twice wondering whether it was tongue-in-cheek. I'm still not sure.

The "great, wise, white men in charge of football in South Bend" hired a black coach. And what did it get them? Columns by assh#les like this guy when the coach is fired. It's just this sort of tripe that makes hiring a black coach such a gamble. If you catch more flack for firing a black coach than for never hiring one, why bother?
While CW gets all the credit for leading the "laughing stock" of college football this season, let's not forget who it was that provided all the senior leadership on this past season's team.
The last part of his article is on point. When Ty was at ND you'd think that he'd be able to recruit the top African-American HS players. As it turned out, top players like Reggie Bush decided to play for "wise, white" Pete Carroll rather than play for good ole' black Ty. It wasn't the "wise white men in charge of football in South Bend" that were responsible for Ty's demise. It was the black recruits that didn't buy his talent or pitch. On the other hand, it sure seems like a lot of top black HS players want to play for the "laughing stock of college football."

    1. I liked him better as a bit player in small budget comedies

    2. Jim Everitt should have killed Jim Rome when he had the chance

    3. Ty is 9-25 at Washington. I guess they're "cleaned up" too

    4. Why does anyone care what this boob has to say?

What a pile of crap. Dorrell and Willingham were hired to clean up the image...BS! Irish image needed no cleaning up. Davie graduated players and we had very few football player incidents. He was hired to win games and to recruit better football players. He didn't win anymore than Davie and his recruiting except for 1 class was worse than Davie.

You can't help busting my chops can you? I guess that's what I get for responding to one of your topics.

When I saw the topic I expected to find your photo under it.

I don't think its any secret on SkyBox that you and I don't like one another. That's fine with me. So I'll do my best to ignore you and perhaps you can do the same for me.

Always with the personal attacks. You just don't learn, do you?

I've never understood why you're so thin-skinned. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

BTW, I'm not letting anything get in my way of the opportunity to have some pun.

Interesting. He rants against racism then encourages it. He's an idiot.

Exactly. That's why I wasn't sure whether it was tongue-in-cheek. I just don't get this guy.

What I get is that this boob is just stirring the kettle. He doesn't really believe this nonsense, he just wants to rouse the rabble to pay attention and boost his ratings.

If somebody responds with something overtly racist, so much the better for him.

24-Hour non-stop cable coverage is even worse for sports than it was for politics. Nothing but false rumors and invented controversies. Better for everyone involved if we ignore this crap.
