Nice win for the Cats Rick. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the first half when things were going so well for the Ags. You've got some shooters on that team. The Aggies have a lot of work left to do, but will learn from this and hopefully be better prepared for conference play. Once again the "Overrated" chant rears it's head. I always laugh at that one... the home fans belittling their win.
Thanks, Scott. Your Ags played a near perfect first half. They were hitting their shots, penetrating at will and playing suffocating defense. Arizona hadn't yet played a team that was so uniformly large and disciplined, with such great shooting, and quickly fell behind. Arizona started to put it together in the last five minutes of the first half to pull within twelve. Your guys seemed to go a little cold to start the second half, and Arizona started to free up Budinger and Bayless off screens to allow them to make shots. At 55 all the game could have gone either way. First Wise got called for a charge when the Cats had numbers, and then Jones of the Ags answered by picking up his fifth foul. Kids. When Arizona started to build a small cushion it forced A&M to play the Cats' game, which looked to be not so comfortable for them. I think Arizona's team speed might have been more than they expected, and the fouls started to build. Both teams should have been forced to take free throw practice after the game. I'm really glad the game was at McKale. Ags win that game on another floor. Sorry about the "overrated" chant, though. Kids. Your team looks to be a serious Final Four contender. I'll be happy if Arizona makes the Sweet Sixteen. Hell, I'll be thrilled.
Actually we shot free throws pretty well (compared to some earlier games) until I started watching! :? Yeah... I could tell after the 55 tie that your guys were feeling it, and we were in trouble. I need your guys to kick @ss for the rest of the year to keep my RPI up!! BTW, I only brought up "overrated" because I don't understand it. We've been guilty as well, and I've asked those who were chanting why... they never have an answer.
Rick... <t>Nice new tweaking of the Cats new unis.<br/> <br/> Interesting game so when will Lute be back?</t>
I see that the Longhorns took down the UCLA Bruins at Pauley Pavillion. So far it doesn't seem that they miss Kevin Durant even a little bit, seems amazing doesn't it. Addition by Subtraction? I don't think Kevin was a ball hog or a me first guy while at Texas, but sometimes having such a incredible player like KD inhibits the rest of the players, they stand around and wait for him to do it. When he's gone the rest of the guys start to bloom. Could that be the case at Texas?
