    The other Tebow topic was stretching a bit too long and besides.....it seems as if momentum is now building for Tim Tebow to win the Heisman.
    Hell...even Krebsie has cast his vote for the southpaw.

    McFadden is definitely back in.

    Tebow needs a very good game and a two TD win tommorrow to hold him off.

    Tebow and McFadden are in a two horse race to the wire I think.

    McFadden is my guy. Besides, Tebow lost 3 games and he's the leader of their team. Go McFadden! I like Tebow next year, "If" he beat's UGA. "If not" I'm for Knowshon, who heads up was the clear Heisman candidate at the Worlds Largets Cocktail Party.

    1) Herschel -- 5,259 (33 games)
    2) K. Faulk -- 4,557 (41 games)
    3) McFadden -- 4,393 (36 games)
    4) Bo -- 4,383 (38 games)
    5) E. Rhett -- 4,163 (48 games)
    6) D. Hilliard -- 4,050 (44 games)
    7) C. Alexander -- 4,035 (44 games)
    8) E. Smith -- 3,921 (31 games)

    But TB... you said TeBow was not worthy because he plays on a 8 - 3 Florida team. Now McFadden IS worthy while playing on a 7 - 3 Arkansas team? :?: :?: :?:

    I dont know about Tailback

    <t>but two teams had their head coaches put the game vs LSU in their hands played AT LSU.<br/>
    <br/>
    One player led his team to a win, the other did not.</t>

    Tebow played for Florida and the team under achieved. McFadden played for Arkansas, they didn't under achieve. It's pretty simple. Tebow is a under achiever. Does he deserve the Heisman? I guess so if you have low standards. Tebow is great, I agree with that. But if he wants the Heisman he needs to work harder. Work harded and it will show in the win column. McFadden or nobody! I'm fine with holding the Heisman back if no one steps up. I think it has been awarded too often undeserved.

    Give it to Tebow? Might as well give it to Knowshon. He was clearly the best player on the field in Jax.

    Tebow's receiver had a perfectly thrown ball bounce off his pads for a crucial int that led to LSU's comeback.

    Tebow does not throw AND catch the ball.

    UF's defense could not make even one stop on 5 4th downs to hold off LSU.

    Arkansas's defense almost had the same fate but they finally did make the game winning play with the last int. to seal it.

    Again...Tebow does not play defense.

    McFadden:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    LSU

    Tebow:

    McFadden:
    206 rushing yards, 3 TDS, 1 fumble lost; 3-6, 34 passing yards, 1 TD
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Kentucky

    Tebow:
    18-26, 256 passing yards, 4 TDs, 0 INT; 78 rushing yards, 1 TD

    McFadden:
    173 rushing yards, 1 TD; 10 receiving yards, 0 TDs
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    South Carolina

    Tebow:
    22-32, 304 passing yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT; 120 rushing yards, 5 TDs

    From MCG.....that oughta wrap it up for Tebow....provided anyone really cares about what truly did transpire on the field.

    The tally if you haven't chosen to peruse the stats above that I listed:

    Tebow and McFadden vs. six common SEC opponents:

    Tebow 25 TDS

    McFadden 7 TDs

    Didn't add the total yards but Tebow is about 2,000 yards of total offense vs. 1,000 for McFadden.

    This is six SEC DEFENSES that Tebow racked up these numbers against.

    Then there was yesterday's annihilation of Mickey Andrews' FSU defense which beat down Matt Ryan and BC AT Boston College.

    I suspect Tebow doesn't win the 2007 Heisman more from people voting against him (and another UF QB) than voting in favor someone else. Too many biases in the field of voters ....... sophomore, team didn't win the conference, and plays for UF (ie school with two MBB championships, 1 BCS chamionship, and a Heisman in just 19 months). Much too much for one school, especially UF. :wink:

    Gaterz.....Mark May said it best last night..

    The Heisman should be based on the volume of work for the season and not a game or two or even a month of games.

    No one comes close to the season that Tebow has had.

    I agree with you but I believe there are many who are voting against Tebow, you know .... for "anyone but Tebow".

    BTW, just read this:

    Tebow played with broken hand
    By PAT DOOLEY
    Sun sports writer
    11:44 am, November 25, 2007

    Florida quarterback Tim Tebow played part of the second half of Saturday night's win over FSU with a broken right hand, Florida coach Urban Meyer confirmed Sunday morning.

    Tebow did not sit down despite the injury and continued to run the football in the 45-12 win.

    Meyer said Tebow will wear a cast on his right hand for two weeks.

    “He'll be fine (for UF's bowl game),” Meyer said.

    Tebow ran for two touchdowns and threw for three more, running his total to 51 touchdowns accounted for this season.

    You gators are nuts

    <t>I mean seriously, nuts. Is there a great anti-Gator conspiracy?? No...<br/>
    <br/>
    If that were the case, you'd have zero Heisman winners and you'd have never gotten your NC rematch with the Noles...or your shot at the title last year..<br/>
    <br/>
    Maybe in Tally or Miami, but nowhere else is there a 'anybody but Tebow' conspiracy.<br/>
    <br/>
    You guys have a serious inflated sense of self.<br/>
    <br/>
    As for the neatly 'SEC DEFENSES" bolded above.. Watching these SEC defenses get gouged for huge numbers, I'm not sure that's that big of a deal.</t>
