He predicted an upset of the Ducks down in Tucson. While there is a lot of football left to be played. With Dennis Dixon out of the game the Wildcats have the Duck offense under control and the are putting up some points of their own. For those Gators out there you have to figure that barring Tebow thowing up a stinker vs FSU that he's going to be the first soph to win the Heisman. I don't think Chase Daniel has enough name recognition to beat out Tebow. #2 going down tonight....what if LSU loses another game...it could happen.
Are you referring to the fact that Fulmer could screw up the future of UT by pulling off a win in the SECCG  :?
Ater Ohio State lost and everyone was ga ga about an OR-LSU matchup, I questioned why Kansas and by extension the B12 was being left out of the discussion. I guess all three B12 teams are back in play for the moment, literally. Even West Virginia, Ohio State, and - horror of horrors - AZ State. We need Rick's boys to get the job done one more time. Nice game, Rick.
Thank you, Sid. I can't tell you how far beating ASSU would go toward salvaging this season. Losses to New Mexico and Stanford - both at home - had seemingly wrecked Arizona's psyche, but since the Stanford debacle the Cats have beaten Washington, UCLA and now Oregon. They're a mediocre team, but they're my mediocre team. And they've beaten Oregon two years in a row, with and without Dixon.
BDR! Congrats and thanks for giving us a glimmer of hope......a very small glimmer, but a glimmer nonetheless......great job by your kids and staff.
Hey Rick <r>just remember, Les Miles says we all suck out there. <E></E><br/> <br/> Belotti is an a**hole, but you have to feel for any team that loses its starting TB, best WR, its #3 WR and then its QB... No team in college football overcomes that..I wonder if the Ducks are dead in the water?<br/> <br/> How's the campus situation at Zona these days? It seems like they brought back the old "Tomey-like" big game atmosphere last night. Is the school dropping the ball? The team? I ask because I've watched a few Zona games that were nowhere near as loud or crazy....<br/> <br/> <br/> Either way, kudos to your 'Cats. BEAR DOWN!</r>
Great win Rick, congrats to your Cats! Now if somebody will just beat L$U we can really screw up the BCS...
Thanks, guys. It is a shame that Dixon went down in the game, but the response of the rest of the Oregon offense was shocking. I know they see Leaf in practice every day, but their heads were down and they were very quiet on the bench. Only the Oregon defense stayed in the game, but that wasn't enough with Antoine Cason returning both an INT and a punt for touchdowns in the second quarter. Last year, Arizona shocked Oregon at Autzen despite losing their starting QB in the second quarter. The #2 was also hurt, so the Cats played a walk-on for the rest of the game. Dixon didn't finish that game either. He was benched for ineffective play. It was da widdle duckies' only home loss that season.
It has been little noted outside of the West but... As Cal and UCLA have faded this season, Oregon State and Arizona have really come on. They're both much better teams now than they were at the beginning of the season. If they make a bowl game, they're going to give somebody some real trouble. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Arizona beat ASU and Oregon State beat Oregon to put USC in the Rose Bowl...
