    Anyone have any recommendations for golf courses in Las Vegas? I just started playing in May and I'm heading out there the day after Thanksgiving for four days. The wife is in the process of taking lessons now and wants to join me (God help me) on the links out there. Because I'm paying for two I want to stay away from the $250/round courses I've heard are out there. Are there any decent public courses that are reasonably priced?

    If the little woman is joining you I assume you will do without certain course amenities like girls serviing you drinks with no hands 8)

    There are lots of web sites that offer course descriptions and fees as well as comments from those who have played. The only Vegas golf I have played was always comped so I'm no help.

    Good luck!

    Geez Bob I wish I could help. I've played 3 times out there. Once at TPC Canyons. A definate no for your situation. I played Bali Hi which is near downtown and has a nice clubhouse a wife would like.
    I played a course with a thoroughbred horse theme one time that was not too expensive but I can't recall the name at this point. The best part about your trip is, no matter what you shoot, "what happens in Vegas....."

    Thanks George and Gip, you both were a help. I was able to find a website that lists all of the Vegas courses and their November rates. Bali Hi looks like a beautiful course, unfortunately they want $325/per plus $60 club rental. There are a bunch in the $85-125 range which is about my limit since I'll have to rent two sets of clubs too.

    Thanks again for your advice.

    I was gonna tell you that Silverstone was really nice...it is the only one I've played out there but it might be higher priced than what it sounded like you were looking for;

    Here's one for ya Bob, it's on the North Side of Vegas...the course is good for Beginner to Intermediate levels and the price should be 50 -70 bucks

    After 4 days in Vegas you will come to understand how any activity that entertains and takes up 6 hours of your day is well worth $250 :cry:

    Last time my dad was out in Vegas he got a guide on Lake Meade and went fishing for half a day. Caught a lot of nice fish. All for about 250. Beats how much he could've lost in the Casino.
