Yanks are probably now a 3-1 pick.

Cubs and Phils in big-time trouble. Could be an all-west NLCS.

    {And how about that Kenny Lofton?}

    An amazing performance!

Kenny was a fan favorite at Arizona, although more from being a guard on the '88 Final Four hoops team.

    Gip;

96 wins and the Tribe goes in as 2-1 underdog...go figger. Must be the $200 million vs. $70 million payroll. (OK, OK...I'm sure the 0-6 regular season record against the Yanks had more to do with it.)

No matter what happens from here on out, I figure that last night's 12-3 was a bit of a statement.

Facing Pettite tonight and should be a real challenge...but the announcer's were talking about it like a Yankee win is a sure thing...that Pettite was scheduled second to give the Yanks a sure spit if they should lose the first game...WTF???

Anybody paying attention to the year Fausto Carmona has had? He has had a better year than Pettite. I like our chances. OTOH, Pettite is a veteran of these situations, and Fausto is new to the majors, let alone the playoffs.

Will be an interesting game...wish it wasn't at the 5PM slot.

Although he has been throwing better lately, this year's version of Andy Pettite is not the AP of the past. he is very vulnerable.

What's with all the bugs in Cleveland. That has to be annoying for the players...

Indians win game 2, but a tight game down to the wire in 11 innings.

Man, couldn't believe all those guys stranded on the bases...Tribe has umpteen chances to win and finally puts it away.

Kudos go to to the Tribe pitchers for holding 'em in there and waiting for the run to be scored!

Player of the game went to Havner but I'd give it to Perez or Carmona.

I think games like tonight's take a lot more out of a team emotionally than losing 12-3. The Tribes big arms did the job.

The Yankees beat the Tribe sweeping two three-game series in the middle of the season...almost back-to-back series right when Cleveland was in a hitting slump.

But pitching means SO much in the post season...I think the biggest problem that Cleveland is going to have is their youth...three of their prime-time players started out the season in AA for heaven's sake...and a couple of others in AAA...hopefully Wedge and the veterans like Lofton can keep them on an even keel.

Kenny Lofton was a PERFECT addition to this team...not only because of his experience and the fact he still has so many skills, but Cleveland fans have always loved him.

Lofton definitely is a sparkplug for the Indians. Maybe the much-traveled Lofton finally has found a home.......the second time around. Great game!

I was sick when my Dodgers let Lofton get away and signed free-agent Juan Pierre to a long-term contract instead. Kenny Lofton can probably play three more years and some of the things he does, liking sparking an offense and calming down angry clubhouses can't be easily replicated. He makes any team better and I became a big fan of his when he was here...

Anything is possible, but both teams have quite a ways to go before that happens.
