I don't see any topics by all the baseball fans! I know that a lot of Skyboxers favorite teams are in the playoffs and thought we might have more discussion. As an old Ohio boy who grew up rooting for Clevland, they were pretty good in the late 40's and 50's, I have to pull for them as long as they hang around. After that I think Colorado would be a great story. Just wondering why no conversation. How about those Red Sox Jif? Yankees George?
Yankees are a 2-1 pick with the oddsmakers which is incredible when you consider they don't have home field advantage. It comes down to whether the Yankees can get the Indian starters out of the game by the 5-6 inning. Also, can Victor Martinez keeps Yankee baserunners from running wild.
Is Roger ready to go? Seems like he's got those nagging injuries that all of us oldsters have to deal with.
George who? Surely not Krebsie? No way....and I know it can't be Steinbrenner - he's a Buckeye Don. Born and bred....a major booster. I hate it that the Yanks and the Tribe have to go at it but.....Let's Go Yanks!
Buckeye Terry, Oh no, not another Yankee fan? I know Krisbe is a big Yankee fan, just a bit of friendly teasing on my part. For reasons that are not even clear to me, I have never been fond of the Yankees. Maybe because they have been so successful? Don
:x None of my baseball analysis is worth a tinker's damn. I still believe that the three best teams in the National League are the Dodgers, Padres and Mets, in that order. Since NONE of them made the playoffs, I'm left without a winnable argument. In fact, the Arizona Diamondbacks became the first team to win a title while finishing dead last in batting. How do you analyze that? Should I enter the debate about who should be NL MVP? Is it Rollins or Holliday? Were any of them voted to the All-Star team? I don't get any of this and I don't think the games are on TV anyway... ...........Dead...Duck...Dodger Dog
The 5-run 5th after Sabathia got a little shaky had to be huge for the Tribe's confidence. And how about that Kenny Lofton?
