I hope he does well wherever he ends up. He sounds like a good kid who made a bad judgement in the way he left and had the character to admit his mistake publicly.

NIU didn't have a scholarship opening to give him, which they said when it first surfaced that he was enrolled at NIU. Which sort of made it moot that ND initally didn't give him a release, release or not he was going to have to pay his way at NIU. After he came back to ND and did the right thing by talking to people ND said it would give him a release to a school not on it's future schedule.

A lot of people like Kelly the UC coach, including you. So maybe it will be a good deal for him. He left ND the wrong way, but he's since admitted that and made ammends, I wish him luck.

Doc, According to the Cincy Rivals site, it's a done deal.

I think it's a good deal as Cincy runs the kind of offense that a player like Jones would excel at.

I like Kelly a lot. He's very positive, very enthusiastic and he has a great offensive mind.

Cincy is a team to watch. Dantonio who is also a decent coach left him a pretty good D and if their offense continues to improve then Cincy could challenge for the Big East and have one of the best years in their history.

That have SDSU on the road. That could be a tough game as the Aztecs seem to rise up to the occassion when they are playing a team they never see. I know they gave UW & UM a hard time a few years ago.
