Scott ?? Did he get back in one piece from Miami? I need a report from the game to see if it matches my livid Aggie son-in-laws comments.
I'm OK Larry. I was well prepared for exactly the outcome we got, so it didn't diminish my fun in Florida one bit. I spent more time trying to keep my Dad from throwing himself off the stadium than worrying about how bad we are... I take solace in the knowledge that Dennis' time is running out... I just hope we can find a competent guy to take the reigns now that we've spent so much money on facilities.
Scott... <t>All kidding aside and I know the year needs to play out but if they finish average do you think they will pull the plug on him considering what they owe the guy? My son-in-law says yes they will.</t>
It really does depend on how the rest of the year goes. Dennis has support from some VERY deep pockets. I have no idea why, but he does. If he manages another miracle win against texas, or OU, he will be safe for another year. I don't see it happening, but I didn't see it last year. On the flip side, if he gets blasted by Tech/OSU, or God forbid Baylor he could be gone in a HURRY. I suspect we'll end up around 7-5, which will probably be just enough to fight off the massive buyout that is required. If I had the cash... he'd be a lame duck right now.
From ... <t>My Son-In-Law.....<br/> <br/> <br/> They will owe him ~$142k/month for the period of the contract, which now extends to 12/2011. So, yes, if they can him after the season (say December), then they will owe him 4 years salary at $142k/month, which equals $6,800,016.</t>
I suspect the number could be a bit smaller than that. We could negotiate a lump payment that would somewhat shrink the bill, but it will still hurt... _ennis MUST GO!
