    This is a team that has 2 WS rings in the last 10 years. That's more than the RedSox!

    Game photo of crowd at Dolphins Stadium during yesterdays game with the Nats. Very Sad.

    Terry, periodically there's a move to get them a new baseball only stadium but so far to no avail.

    How they managed to win two world series is beyond me and how they keep hanging on is beyond me also.

    My friend in Miami told me that they changed the time of the game, that the announced attendance was over 10,000 and that someone went to the stadium and counted fans and there were actually about 300 in attendance.

    The Indians and Angels played in Milwaukee back in April...charged 10$/ ticket and drew 20,000 per game...more than the Marlins drew at home that weekend. :shock:

    That means they've sold only 10,000 or less season tickets. That's worse than Montreal before they moved to Washington. Pitiful. Get them outta there. Move them to a city that wants MLB.

    Well..

    <t>I maintain look at the makeup of the Miami area. Do those guys ever really buy tickets? The area does not deserve a baseball team with the success they have in that organization but then where do they leave for Vegas? Interesting topic but the powers to be have had more than enough time to get them a 40M seat stadium.</t>

    Have you ever watched a baseball game there? It's like Dante's Inferno. I must have drank ten beers and never had to go to the bathroom. At least I had no money left worthy of a mugger when I made my way to my car. 8)

    George..

    <t>I laughed at your post as I used to deal with a customer in Corals Gables that loves baseball like me and just to see a ML game as he put it "drug himself" to a Marlins game. Same thing he hated the weather and the pitiful support for the organization.<br/>
    <br/>
    That is doomed down there.</t>

    I've probably been to more Marlins games (when the Cubs come to town) than most Marlins fans. Come to think of it, there were a significant portion of Cubs fans there also, so regular attendance is probably even less than I saw. Course when the Cubs were there for the playoffs, the place was jam-packed with band wagon playoff fans. I guess they're the more extreme version of Atlanta - no one gets interested until the playoffs. But since they're last in the division, no one is interested at all.
