Callahan is a worse play caller than Uncle Frankie was. West Coast What? It ain't there pal. There's teams out there that are running HS spread offenses that are scarier than what your showing Bill. I still haven't seen any resemblance of a WCO....I've seen Off Tackle this, Slant that and Down and incomplete though......jezzzuzzz chrimminies were in trouble if this doesn't turn around. Sure hope he's saving all the good stuff for USC cause I got news for ya BILL.....YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT.

    ....sick and tired sends.....

    Husker...

<t>I agree SC will win and since I had two sets going w/ the Sooner blowout on the big TV and the Nebraska game on the other one you are correct. Some of those calls were outrageous. Nebraska was very fortunate to get a "W" today.</t>

    AJ, AJ, AJ...

How would you like to have Dennis "I'm an offensive geniu... hey, is that pie? I LOVE PIE!" Franchione calling your plays?

I've seen 8th grade teams with more sophisticated playbooks!

If we take 4th in the South I'll be amazed. This joker has got to GO!

I'm not so sure. Wake Forest is not an also-ran, like.....like.......ND or Michigan. I don't think you can beat USC but you may play them tougher than you think.

    Hey Husker Dude:

Watch out for Ball State. Their QB Nate Davis is gonna be a pro. I watched him in HS and he almost beat Michigan last year.

I was essentially retired in Harrisburg but then got a call from some guys in Wheeling, WV (where I grew up) who were starting this all local talk station. I was intrigued and signed up. I've been here three years now and am having a ball.

I still have my PSU tickets but West Virginia football and basketball are really fun to watch. Alabama tried to steal coach Rod but he stayed here. Michigan got to John Beilein but we snagged Huggins. Should be fun unless he brings in a bunch of guys on parole.

The West Virginia AD was my backup QB in high school (oh so many years ago) and he says Huggins is gonna play it straight. We'll see.

Intresting what you find if you google somebody's name.

    Tod Jeffers
    WWVA [Wheeling WV] 1963
    WMAJ [State College PA] 1965
    KLNK [Oklahoma City] 1980
    WRKZ [Hershey PA] 1982
    WWKL [Harrisburg PA] 1989
    WBNS-FM [Columbus OH] 1994
    WRBT [Harrisburg PA] 1996-1999
    WKKX [Wheeling] 2004
Now: Tod says (9/04), "I'm morning talk-show host on Business Talkradio WKKX, Wheeling West Virginia (the Dawg) and I couldn't be more thrilled. I gotta be honest, I missed the business. Radio is fun again."

I see that Tod is now the News Director at WKKX, he used to do the 12-3 show and they stream it so I've watched him a couple of times on my lunch hour it was an interesting show, definitely Tods bag. Now he's a big cheese! :)

    Now I'm blushing...

I guess the fact that I've lasted 44 years in this business should count for something. There aren't many guys with my resume.

I remember a Paul Harvey show way back when saying the best of all worlds is that you should do for a living what you would do if you didn't have to work.

I've done that. He was right. Interestingly I'm back at the first station I ever worked for in 1963. It's been through a few call letter changes but it's still AM 1600.

I had a meeting with the owner last week and he said I have a job here as long as I want it. I'm 66 now. I figure now and figure I'll croak in the middle of some newscast.

BTW...I remember getting shouted down on this board after saying I got into a face down with some dude at the Linebacker in the late 80's. Well here I am this old grey haired fart and some drunk domer got in my face at half time in Beaver Stadium laat Saturday.

Three cops broke this up. This guy and I were nose to nose, me telling him that he was a moron since he was in the middle of a sea of white shirts and if he threw down on me he's be engulfed and his ass would be grass. The cops showed up and took him away.

I was relieved. I'm pretty sure I'm not that tough anymore.

Now see this is where you lose credibility, everybody knows Irishmen don't get drunk, it's something genetic in our metabloism I think. :)

I know I've never been drunk, and I've seen JO'Co, Corey, Malloy and Sid all down prodigous amounts of beer and nary a stagger or stammer out of any of them! :)
