The order is a little different.

Tennessee came in at #8 while Florida came in at #18.

    Check it out for yourself.

Sure were a lot of dogs chosen. Wonder if there was a Michael Vick backlash.

Vick will probably get hounded by jokes like that for some time.

I guess with all those dogs, they found a use for the Stanford Tree. That's all he's good for.

Sad to think that the role of the Stanford tree is reduced to that of peon.

Well, both my school's made it (barely)...but as I keep tellin' folks, Purdue Pete is not our mascot...

The Boilermaker Special is the official mascot...the only mascot (other than the Ramblin' Wreck, which is after all, a car) that can legally travel the interstates under it's own power. (and does so.)

    Stu, 60's to early 70's......

remember he was that big, brown papermache' bowling ball looking buckeye and had those two big white eyebrows that could be manipulated up and down by the kid inside.....the eyebrow gave him some sense of personality ,I guess.

I was at the game as a soph - I think - when the "new" Brutus was unveiled....he was booed off the field mercilessly and the "old" Brutus returned after halftime to a rousing ovation! As I recall, the year before they had some difficulty getting Brutus to fit on the plane to Pasadena and rumor has it that was the driving force behind to change.....!?!
