A different writer with a different take on the subject that was locked a month ago. This time the Big Ten case is supported more by the author and resonates in a similar fashion as did BT's supporting arguments in the original debate on Skybox. Obviously Delany caused a little stir when he took on the SEC in his open letter to the Big 10 after Glendale. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/7124636
Let the record now show that MCG has posted opposing views to his original article. Another poster replied to Gonzo earlier and I will change that quote a little: "Who are you and what have you done with our MCG!?!?"
its almost kickoff.. thank god <r><IMG src="http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa163/rdudasko/smiley_deadhorse.gif"><s></e></IMG></r>
Nothing wrong with opposing views when written by reputable sources and not just some bloggers viewpoint. This guy does refer to the SEC's terrific BCS bowl record and that is what set off the original article by CFN. I agree with him also that the Big Ten needs some reputation restoring big wins this season in the BCS than they have come by as of late.
As I said..because of Delany's taking on the SEC a few months ago it's the national sportswriters that want to beat this horse.
Well Bill....the Big Ten network and Delany's comments on the SEC are news in the college football world. Maybe not news here.
MCG Thanks for posting that link as I'd not seen that article. Don't think their is a dominant conference in Div1 college football. Some consistently stronger than others but no dominant conference.
I agree with the writer....talk is worthless. What happens on the field is called results. It's the only thing that counts. Just play the game and win......
Well said BT.....I agree and it is the biggest reason I found the article to be relevant. Just win and Delany would have nothing to talk about.
