These "Islamists" are among the worst offenders of humanity in history.

They are beginning to make Hitler seem like a saint.

What continues to gall me is that Islamists leaders are silent on this sickness.

What in the HE double L is wrong with these SICK you know whats?

The silence of the Islamic "leadership" speaks volumes. What else do we need to know?

MCG, do I detect a 180 degree turn around on your thought process? Are you now with the rest of us in thinking that we need to stay the course and eradicate this threat to our way of life?

    Tom,

I have of course always detested and reviled those who perpetrated 911 and those extreme pieces of dung who kill and maim in the name of religion anywhere on the planet and that includes all of the radicals in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well.

They are cowards and when they do these things in the name of their religion I can't believe how there is such a lack of constant outcry from the leaders of that religion. It is almost like tacit approval.

These feelings however have not much to do with what we are doing in Iraq.

I think as before that bombing and displacing Al-Queda in Afghanistan was and is essential in our response to 911 but I am afraid that our actions in Iraq have done nothing to curb Al-Queda's numbers but rather has galvanized even more of these twisted malcontents around the globe into joining the Al-Queda "cause".....which is basically a hatred of all things West and especially the U.S.

Iraq has worsened the situation globally and therefore was extremely misguided in my opinion and in that of many I have read.

So...we rid Iraq of Saddam because he was evil and killed Kurds and others.

Seems as if Kurds are still dying by the busloads in addition to three thousand American troops and probably a hundred thousand or more other Iraqis.

We have alienated the U.S. from most of the free world by our involvement in Iraq and we have helped to generate a real threat from escalating terrorists develpoment by giving the assholes some sort of "just cause".

We have spent probably 600 billion+ dollars on this boondogle of a war and yet Bush vows to fight on ( to protect his personal legacy I assume ).

    What a continuing nightmare.

Tom....those numbers bother the hell out of me.

And when WMDs were the given reason for the war...and then it was because Al Queda was in cahoots with Saddam....then when none of those proved to be true it falls into a generic "War on Terror"....I have to question why we are there and why it continues and who has personal agendas at stake.

Ah yes the gutless animals who continue to set off bombs killing innocents in Iraq. And what is the solution to dealing with these terrorists.....pulling out and giving them what they want. This of course will not in any way encourage this behaviour in the future and we will live happily ever after. Where do I get whatever the cowards are drinking?

I think there are many, many more Iraqis who are quite capable of dealing with foreign terrorists than we have seen because we make it too easy for them by being there.

In Al Anbar they have begun to assert their independence from these terrorists and I think the same would happen all over if we left Iraq.

Now....the Iraqis themselves may tear each other apart but that's a different story.
