On the Purdue Sports list the concensus was that had Curtis Painter thrown the balloon, it would have either sailed three feet over the cop's car or maybe been intercepted. :!:

Sadly it has surfaced that Irish defensive tackle Derrell Hand has been arrested in a Prostitution Sting in South Bend. He propositioned a female (thank god) police officer and was arrested. Probably will be on COPS sometime soon. He has been suspended indefinitely. I don't know the kid at all or really anything about him as a person, but if he is in general a pretty good kid and is in good standing academically I would hope that they would allow him to continue in school and come back in the Spring. While it is embarassing for him, his family, and to a small degree the program and school. I don't think it rises to the level that he should be just summarily dismissed.
