From CFN: http://cfn.scout.com/2/652487.html I tend to agree that Ohio State has done enough in the Tressel years not to be written off. Yes the Gators should be given all the credit in the world but on Jan. 8th it was more of how great the Gators could play vs. how bad OSU was. OSU has beaten a lot of teams in JT's tenure, however...there have been chinks in the armor as Michigan proved and Florida exploited. Nonetheless, Ohio State should always be dangerous in the Big Ten and never underestimated.
yeah I'd think that JT deserves a mulligan. Much like the old ball coach got after an even worse beating vs the Huskers in '95.
We will not win many points on our SOS this fall with several MAC games here at home. A new QB will dictate probably more of a rushing offense than in recent years with Beanie Wells at tailback. Defense looks decent. Tough games on the road at Washington, Penn State and Michigan. I am predicting a 9-3 record in the regular season. Don
Talk about understatement!!! That defense should be amongst the best in the country! And 9-3??? Washington is terrible, even on the road. Nah I'd say another undefeated regular season is not out of your reach and 10-2 should be the worst outcome.
10-2 sounds about right to me. I'm telling everyone in the Big Ten to watch out for a trip with Ron Zook and Illinois. He may lose to Indiana but one of these days he will be surprising the big boys. For OSU, Zook's upstarts are sandwiched very nicely between Wisconsin and Michigan on the Buckeye's schedule. That is dangerous.
Zook's still not good. He is dangerous as always but not good enough to win the Big Ten. Good enough to compete and beat the Ohio States and Michigans but not good enough to win at Minnesota when he should.
