well duh... He also says USC plays in a wussy conference. Gee do you think he was talking to a crowd in LA or Louisiana? :) Of course he says the SEC is the closest to the NFL, and that while NFL players earn more SEC players don't pay taxes on their earnings! :) Of course he didn't say that, but I thought I'd throw it in for MCG.

I'm only going to post the 1st page, it's a long article.

I certainly agree with him about the strength of the SEC, but his denigrating comments about the Pac 10 could come back to bite him in the you-know-what somewhere down the road.

Is Miles berating a team that had the balls to go to Auburn and beat them and Arkansas and gut them?
With a long layoff until the NC game, good bulletin board material will be a big help. He certainly has done his part in creating motivation.

Every year; every decade; the teams of the PAC10 play all over the country, with no fear or envy of anyone. Yet somehow, I can't remember LSU ever playing out here against anyone. Have they ever played anyone west of Houston?

On behalf of UM and the team.....you're very welcome.... 8)

    "Thank you, Florida
The Florida Gators did more to bolster the SEC’s case than anything Miles can say. They ripped previously unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Ohio State 41-14 in the BCS Championship Game after many columnists, coaches and talking heads said Florida didn’t deserve a spot in the game."

Just as I thought. They never come out here. They've beaten Zona and ASU in recent years and they've beaten Cal State Fullerton, Fresno and San Jose State, and Idaho but they've never beaten Stanford and they've never played Cal or UCLA.

Hiders can't be talkers. Play somebody...

A quick glance at the all-time record shows that LSU has beaten the other Louisiana schools 123-23-7. It breaks down like this:
They're 57-1 against Louisiana College, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe and ULaLa. They must be so proud. The other games were against Tulane. They'll play anybody in that state. Its the other 49 states that give them problems...

BTW- They're 0-2 against the University of Santa Clara. One of my old high school pals had a father who played on those Santa Clara teams back in the 1930's. I don't think we've seen LSU out here since...

LSU has traveled to South Bend on more than one occasion. They were the victors in Gerry Faust's last home game on a bitter cold Nov. sat.
