I saw this today on ESPN.com. It was in the form of a quiz, but the fun is in reading the years-ago analyses by the scouts describing today's top players when they were being scouted and matching the descriptions to the players the scouts were describing. One of the most interesting baseball books is Moneyball. It discusses the difference in opinion on prospects between Billy Bean and his scouts. At one point in the book, the scouts are all praising the potential of this one recruit. "You should see this kids build" one says. Bean then drafts a short overweight catcher who had a large number of walks in college. Commenting on the differences between the players Bean reminds them that they're planning to win baseball games not sell Jeans.
